Shopping for maternity clothes in this day in age is a world away from 30 years ago. We are so lucky to have a variety of great maternity boutiques to choose from. Finding the right style for your body and personality can be tricky. However, with a little bit of luck you'll stumble upon the perfect shop for you. During this pregnancy, I've enjoyed discovering some of the trendiest Mom-to-Be ensembles out there and sharing a piece of my style with you. When I stumbled upon Pink Blush Maternity, I couldn't wait to showcase a few of their looks right here on the blog. Especially this little floral number.
Timeless Elegance
When I discovered this floral maternity maxi I was drawn to it's timeless elegance. However, as you might suspect, purchasing floral patterns can be tricky. If not fitted right or designed well they can resemble upholstery more than a classically designed dress. I was pleased when I received this maternity maxi to find that it fit like a dream and the faux wrap design was very flattering. I think the secret is really making sure it's the right size. I usually wear a size 4/6 when not pregnant. For this design I ordered a small maternity size and it was perfect. If you order too big, it won't hug those blossoming curves as well and may tow the line. Not pregnant? No problem. Pink Blush's women's line also offers this floral maxi in traditional women's sizes.
I've had more compliments on this look than pretty much any maternity out fit I've showcased so far. It's a show stopper!
Delicate Details
This design brought to mind Victorian elegance which lead me to style it with delicate details. The beautiful colors in multiple shades and depths gave a lot of freedom to choose accent colors to compliment the entire look. In this case I chose both a fuchsia polish and a deep burgundy clutch, along with dusty blue earrings. Classic pearls and this delicate lace headband made for the perfect final touches.
Easy Sophistication
This far along in my pregnancy I'm not really into spending long periods of time taming my long mane. Top that off with soaring summer temps and that leaves me with limited options for quick hair looks. I chose this headband because I knew I could do this quick tuck in up do. Simply part your hair in the middle, lay on the headband (on top of your hair) then tuck the hair that hangs down up and into the headband. Fasten with a few pins as needed and you are done. Literally 5 minutes or less.
Celebrate timeless elegance and femininity with this gorgeous floral maxi from Pink Blush. It's a must have!
Until then...
Enjoy the Journey!
