Look #2 from my maternity ensemble for Montana was inspired by simplicity. I'm a fan of white (even though it's not the safest color to wear around kids), and my husband loves it on me so I'm always looking to pick up a new classic white piece. This LWD (little white dress) was a perfect pair with my well worn in denim jacket. Throw in my worn out perfectly distressed red cowgirl boots and top it off with some clean accessories and you have an effortless combination that's perfect for a stroll through the country, or hopping terminals in the airport. Which is exactly what I did.
22 weeks |
Classic White Eyelet Sundress: I'm wearing this Jessica Simpson Maternity dress in Small. This dress can be dressed up or down and is pretty much good to go through all of Spring and Summer. I was 22 weeks at the time of this shoot and I like how this dress has plenty of room to grow into my third trimester belly without me feeling like I'm wearing a tent. I got lots of compliments on this look in the airport too.
All American Jean Jacket: These never go out of style. I've included one by Jessica Simpson Maternity but mine is something that's been in my closet for around ten years now. I bought it a bit oversized in Large which meant it will last through pregnancy yay. This was a great look for traveling in. Not too hot, and the denim kept me warm when the AC got a little chilly.
Statement Boots: When in Montana, you couldn't be more at home than in a pair of cowboy boots. This was my traveling look and the boots made it easy to take on and off in security (no laces yay). Also you don't want to pack those giant things. I ended up wearing these every day. They were just the perfect protection to Montana's rugged countryside. I've had these for years now and trust me, when you buy a quality pair, they just get better with age. I had to replace the soles and heels on mine before I left on this trip, but they'll keep walking for another decade or so now. I get tons of compliments on the red. They really jump out and go with more than you would imagine.
Simple yet Stunning Accessories: Keeping it simple I topped the look off with a little icing to add just the right touch. Nothing too fussy, and of course when traveling choosing items that are versatile and can be used different ways is key. Studs, Ring, Necklace all by Stella and Dot.
