I have to confess that as a mom, sometimes I feel like that cool girl style is slipping away from me. Whether you have kids or not, maybe you can relate? Time passes, you get stuck in a fashion rut, and for whatever reason you stop taking risks. I'm all for building a wardrobe of great classic pieces, but I also want to feel youthful and not inadvertently project to the world that I'm older than I actually am or (gasp!) boring. Sometimes you need to experiment with current trendy pieces and have a little fun. Looking to spice things up a little in my own wardrobe, I was grateful for the opportunity to partner with Tobi for today's post. I was inspired by these three pieces to create some cool girl chic looks that had me feeling fabulous and ready for fun!

I was actually on the fence about this figure hugging Feeling Hood dress. Once I slipped into it though, I felt like a million bucks. I like the knee length and the rich red hue. The hoodie adds a fun element to it that layered fantastic with my military jacket. I styled the look up a bit with my new Stella and Dot sunnies, my fav neutral Sarto booties, a trendy choker, and the "It" bag of the season for an ensemble I'd say is perfectly on trend and oozing that "Cool Girl" feeling.
Breakfast at Tiffany's Reinvented
This Anisha Midi Jumpsuit caught my eye when I was browsing the site and it certainly did not disappoint. With my curves it went quickly from quirky to sexy especially with the strappy back. I could have easily paired it with a fun bralette to add more lines and a little more coverage, but instead I chose to work my curves into the mix and dress the look up with a little bling. My statement necklace was a current find from Stella and Dot. My earrings were Swarovski from a few seasons back, and my bracelets were a blend of Stephanie Kantis, Bauble Bar, and one made from a friend. Franco Sarto wedges, and a metallic clutch added a little texture along with this embellished bomber I got in my most recent Le Tote. The final product had a modern day Breakfast at Tiffany's look that I was feeling fabulous in.
Made for Merlot
On it's own this All Tied Up Shift Dress has a simple silhouette you can do a lot with. I wanted to try a funky All Red Everything look with this one, but alas I didn't have the perfect red boots to put it together. No worries, I brought out my coveted over the knee boots that go with everything and added a cool blazer and felt hat to make it fit the season and look more put together. I'd wear this look anywhere, on a date, on camera, or picking up my kid. It's that versatile, and that fun.
