The weather is finally cooling down and now that I'm fitting back into most of my pre-baby clothes I've been in the mood to shop a bit. My closet was in need of a bit of an update, but having an infant comes with some ...err special needs in the wardrobe department. But just because baby is breastfeeding doesn't mean I have to sacrifice style right!? My friends at
Anthropologie proved to me that great style can be baby friendly too! Here are a few of the gems I discovered. Watch out for baby London stealing the scene. And did I mention my new do?
The Flare is Back
How do you weigh in on the flare debate? Are you happy to see it return or are you grieving over your skinny jean's demise? I think it's safe to say that your skinny jeans won't be gone forever, however it's nice to give this silhouette a chance again. These
Paige High Rise Bell Canyon Flares had me feeling long and lean as I return to non stretchy waist pants. Paired with some
Franco Sarto wedges my 5'9" from took an even longer stretch. It's hard for me to find jeans long enough to fit my inseam so I was pleasantly surprised that the length was spot on and perfect for heels as well! Winning!
New Do?
Why the change? I hate to be cliche and all but when one has a baby, it's kind of the thing to do. Why? Well, there are a few reasons.
1. Out with the old in with the new.
After nine months of not having any control, this is your chance to make a change you can control.
2. Variety is the spice of life.
It's just more fun.
3. Less time to do the do.
Yes, long lovely locks are pretty to look out but what new mom has hours to spend washing, drying, and styling said locks? Instead of opting for the daily pony and bun, I hit up my stylist Misty at
Rio Hair Studio for a trendy LOB or ( Long Bob) that is super easy to style and takes minutes to do.
4. Losing it.
A less than ideal part of having a baby is that all the glossy thickness you developed while preggo... has to go. It starts coming out in clumps and I was just not having that. A preemptive strike handled that. By chopping around 6 inches off, I have less to lose.
Graphic Statement
I've been digging black lately. It tends to be more forgiving on certain "situations" a girl faces when her ever changing post baby body is returning back to normal. This
split neck henley makes a statement while concealing my still soft middle. I'll have that six pack back soon right??? Well maybe sometime in the next year. Let's be real, it took nine months to stretch out... it will likely take something like that to get back to normal.
The Perfect Accessory
By now I'm pretty used to my stunning girls stealing the scene. London mugs it for the camera here batting her saucer sized baby blues. And yes, she is just as charming in real life as she is in pics. My heart has not stopped melting. I'm pretty much putty in her hands.

Babies little hands are into everything that's Momma's. I usually love statement jewelry, however when baby is in tow less is more. These
delicate finishing pieces are just the thing.
New Sunnies
And here's where I take a moment and thank the hubby for gifting me this fabulous pair of

Baby Friendly
For the cool weather a
comfy sweater is a must have. This one has a bonus! It also serves as a discreet nursing cover.
All of these fabulous finds and none of them labeled "maternity or post maternity". The next time you are shopping at Anthropologie don't be afraid to ask a staff member for help finding garments that not only look amazing, but also meet your needs.
